If you have a tooth that is damaged or decayed, our restorative dentistry treatments can help to restore its function as well as its appearance.
Many of these procedures have both a structural and cosmetic dentistry components combined. For example , dental implants are placed in your jawbone to replace a missing tooth, but they also have the added benefit of making your smile look more natural.
If you are interested in any of our restorative dentistry treatments, please contact us to schedule an appointment. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about these procedures.
Decayed or Missing teeth
There are a number of major restorative dental procedures which can help give you back a full smile and the ability to eat anything you like.
Replacing missing teeth is typically a fairly simple exercise. The normal procedure is to insert an implant in the jawbone, which is then capped with a false tooth. However, if you’re missing multiple teeth, dentures or dental bridges are both options.
If you have a tooth that has only partial dental decay, we may be able to save it with a filling, or a dead tooth may require a root canal treatment and dental crown. You can have dental crowns on multiple teeth, however a dental bridge may be a better option if teeth are next to each other. The point is there are many options to ensure you don’t need to live in pain, ever checking your food to make sure there is nothing you can’t chew or bite.
- Please note that a surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before going ahead with any treatment, be sure to seek a second opinion.
- Some procedures may require a friend to give you a ride home afterwards. Driving yourself or operating machinery may be extremely dangerous
